Yesuany lives in Batey Lecheria in the Dominican Republic. Batey is the Haitian word for village. Yesuany lives with her parents. She does not have siblings yet, but her mother is expecting their second child. To try and sustain the family, her father works cleaning up construction sites by picking up leftover material. Yesuany speaks Spanish and attends the public school that is two miles from her village. During her free time she likes to hang out with her friends. Yesuany's favorite color is pink. In the future, Yesuany would like to be a doctor.
