Abdul lives with his parents. Abdul's father sells livestock and his mother is a small business trader. Even with both parents working, they struggle to provide for their children's basic needs and school costs. Abdul is able to begin school each year, but he is sent home with school fees are due. While Abdul's parents raise the money for school fees, he is out of school and this causes lapses in his education. Thanks to his sponsorship, Abdul has been able to continue his education and his favorite subject is art. He wants to be a soldier when he gets older.
