Abdulai lives with his mother, a soap maker. Abdulai’s father left their family when he was young, and his mother cannot adequately provide their needs. Abdulai is in Class 1, but he is asked out of school when more tuition is due. This causes Abdulai to fall behind is his education. Abdulai’s favorite subject is math, and he wants to be a carpenter when he grows up. He loves playing football with his friends, and his favorite food is rice and cassava leaf.
