Abdulai lives with his aunt who sells cow's milk for a living. Abdulai was born in 2005, but his aunt does not know the exact date, so we celebrate his birthday on January 1st. Abdulai's mother died when he was a young child. Abdulai's father then abandoned Abdulai and remarried. The situation with his parents has really depressed Abdulai. His aunt has many of her own children to care for so she cannot adequately provide food for Abdulai. Therefore, Abdulai works in the Tombo Forest and other neighboring forests searching for wood to sell. Abdulai was attending school but stopped because his aunt could not keep up with paying for school tuition, uniform, school supplies and other school fees. He wants to return to school if given the opportunity. Abdulai wants to become a Christian artist in the future.
