Hassan was separated from his mother and it was believed she lived in the interior of the country. His father also abandoned him several years ago. He most recently lived with his uncle until he was forced to leave. His uncle desired that Hassan would help him with his business selling used clothing and trinkets. When Hassan refused to sell for his uncle, he was mistreated badly. Due to this mistreatment, along with his uncles refusing to pay for school, Hassan found himself living on the streets of Waterloo. Currently, his mother and father are reunited and he stays in the family home but his father is sick and has been taken to the provinces for herbal treatment. Thanks to his sponsorship, he has been able to continue his education. Hassan loves to play soccer and study science in school.
