Vandita was born and brought up in a Hindu family. She has an older sister and a brother. Her father left her mother and married another woman. Her mother started to work as field laborer but did not earn enough money to provide the basic needs of her family. One of the pastors told her about the Mercy Homes and she requested Vandita stay there. Vandita likes to study math and wants to become a teacher one day. She loves to dance!
