Unisa lives with his father. Unisa’s mother left when he was 3 years old because his father didn’t make enough money. His father grows and sells vegetables in the nearby swamp, but he isn’t able to provide their basic needs. Unisa has been able to attend school, but because his father has little money each day, Unisa is asked out frequently until some fees can be paid. Unisa misses quite a bit of school which puts him behind. Unisa’s favorite subject is English, and he wants to be a bank manager when he grows up. After school, he loves playing football with his friends, and his favorite food is rice and potato leaves.
