Sonal Chouhan was born into a Hindu family. She is five years old and grew up extremely impoverished. She has four elder sisters. Her father was a diabetic patient for a long time. Her family sold all they had and took on lots of debt for dialysis to save his life. In the end, Sonal lost her father to kidney failure. Sonal was the youngest in the family. Since her birth, she was not welcomed in her family as they already had four elder girls. The whole family was hoping for a baby boy, but when she was born no one was happy for her. Sonal has felt this rejection throughout her childhood. This rejection has had profound effects on her and is evident in her behavior. Sonal's mother requested admittance into Mercy Homes where Sonal can heal from her emotional pain. She loves to read and sing and wants to become a government officer.
