Shubham was born and brought up in a Christian family. His father abandoned the family when Shubham was very young. Shubham and his sisters were left alone during this difficult time. None of Shubham's relatives were willing to help support them. Shubham's mother needed to find work immediately to try to provide for the family's needs. She found work in an office. Shubham's older sister, Shraddha, moved into Mercy Homes in 2007, but his mother continued to struggle to care for the family. Shubham came to Mercy Homes in 2016, at just 13 years old, and only wanted an education. He is now in college!
