Shipra was born into a Hindu family. Shipra's father and mother abandoned her when she was just 3 years old, leaving her with her older brother. She and her brother ended up staying in their grandmother's house. Shipra grew up in an extremely impoverished home from a very young age. Her grandmother was a widow struggling to survive when she took on Shipra and her brother. During that time, someone shared the Good News of Jesus Christ with Shipra's grandmother. Her grandmother accepted Christ and started going to church.  Shipra's struggles continued as her brother ran away from home, and her grandmother was so distressed that she became seriously ill. Little Shipra had no one to look after her, therefore, her grandmother requested admittance for Shipra into Mercy Homes. Shipra loves to style hair and study biology at school.
