Saidu was born in 2009. His mother does not know the exact date of his birth so we celebrate his birthday on January 1st. Saidu lives with his grandmother, who sells rice and soup from her home. Saidu's parents separated four years ago. After the separation, Saidu's parents abandoned him. At that point, his grandmother decided to take Saidu into her home even though she could not provide for him. Saidu does not get adequate food leading him to beg for food from different households. He also tries to earn a small amount of money by helping fish traders in the Pepper Wharf area to clear and clean their fish on a commercial basis. Saidu also has to keep up with all the household chores in his grandmother's home. Saidu would like to be a soldier in the future.
