Sahr lives with his grandmother, who sells goods to make a living. Sahr's mother and father left him to his grandmother when he was two years old because they could not provide for him. Sahr's grandmother is not able to earn enough to provide food for them and send Sahr to school. His grandmother finds the money to enroll Sahr at the start of the school year, but Sahr is asked out of school when more money is due. Once Sahr's grandmother raises the amount needed, Sahr is able to resume school, but he experiences lapses in his learning. Thanks to his sponsorship, Sahr has been able to continue his education and his favorite subject is math. He wants to become a doctor in the future.
