Osman was born in 2007. His mother does not know the exact date of his birth so we celebrate his birthday on January 1st. Osman lives with his father and stepmother who are both woodcutters. His mother is also a woodcutter. Osman's parents separated when he was seven years old. Since his parents' separation, his mother has had nothing to do with him. Osman's father and stepmother show him no parental love or support. On a daily basis, Osman goes to the Tombo forest in search of wood or scrap metals to sell in the Tombo community. He is able to earn a small amount of money for this work in order to buy himself some food. Osman has never been to school due to lack of funds to pay for school tuition, a uniform, school supplies and other school fees. He wants to go to school if given the opportunity. Osman would like to be a pastor one day.
