Nandita was born in a Hindu family. Even though she is very young, she has experienced much hardship. She grew up in a family where her father kept on quarreling with her mother. Her father was a daily wage laborer and an alcoholic. Life got even worst for Nandita when her father left her mother and remarried another lady. Nandita has 2 sisters and a younger brother. Her mother started to work as a maid for their survival. Meanwhile, her father was arrested on criminal charges and is in prison for life. As a result, Nandita's mother lost her job. But one Christian lady gave her a job and shared the peace and love of Jesus Christ with her. Even still, they lived in a slum and her earning was not sufficient even to provide two meals a day for her children. Their church pastor told them about Mercy Homes and Nandita's mom requested admission for two of her girls, Nandita and Tamanna. Nandita wants to be a doctor and loves the color pink.
