Momoh was born in 2007. His parents do not know the exact date of his birth so we celebrate his birthday on January 1st. Momoh lives with both of his parents and they both work in various fishing jobs. His mother is frequently ill so most of the responsibilities for Momoh's care are on his father. His parents have five children, however, Momoh's father is unfaithful and has children with many other women. His father, therefore, cannot provide sufficiently for Momoh's family. In order to provide for his own basic needs, Momoh has found work. He organizes fish to be dried in fish shacks called Banda. Children working in Bandas are constantly exposed to the thick smoke and stench that gathers in the shacks. Momoh had to stop attending school in Class II due to lack of funds to pay for his school tuition, uniform, school supplies and other school fees. Thanks to 25 Project, he is able to continue going to school and wants to become a teacher one day.
