Mohamed was born in 2009. His aunt does not know the exact date of his birth so we celebrate his birthday on January 1st. Mohamed lived with his father and stepmother. But his mother lives in the provinces and is jobless. Since the divorce of his parents, Mohamed's mother has behaved like a mad woman so he does not receive any motherly love from her. His stepmother mistreats him so severely that Mohamed now chooses to sleep on the streets. He does not get adequate food, and his other basic needs are unmet. Realizing this, Mohamed found work helping people sell their groundnuts at the Tombo market and he also helps transport loads around the park for business people. He has never been to school due to the lack of funds to pay for school tuition, uniforms, school supplies and other school fees. He would love to return to school, given the opportunity. Mohamed would like to be the president of Sierra Leone one day.
