Midelina lives with her parents and four siblings, Selena, Voslani, Micah, and Yulissan in the village of Batey Lecheria. Lecheria is a predominantly Haitian village. Her mother does not work but cares for the younger siblings. Midelina's father works as a carpenter in the village, but his wages are not enough to adequately provide for his family's needs. Midelina attends the public school, and her favorite subject is language arts. In her free time, Midelina enjoys playing volleyball and hanging out with her friends. Midelina's favorite color is blue, and she hopes to become a teacher one day.
