Micky lives in Batey Lecheria in the Dominican Republic. Batey is the Haitian word for village. The older generations in Batey Lecheria are Haitian. Life for Haitians in the Dominican is difficult. Micky lives with both parents and one sister, Naika. His father works as a motorcycle driver, but his wages are simply not enough to sustain the family. Micky attends public school and enjoys writing. He likes to play football, and his favorite color is yellow. Micky would like to become a teacher one day.
