Michael was born in 2009. His mother does not know the exact date of his birth so we celebrate his birthday on January 1st. Michael lives with his mother and she works as a prostitute. Michael's parents separated years ago due to some serious family conflict. Since the separation, Michael's dad remarried and has not provided any care for him. Michael's mother cannot provide for his daily needs. Because his mother cannot provide for him, Michael found work cleaning and transporting fish from the Pepper Wharf to the park on a daily basis. Most of the time he does not request money for his work and instead asks for food or for clothing. Michael would like to be a journalist one day.
