Marcelo was born in Haiti but now lives in the Dominican Republic in the village of Batey Lecheria with his mom, stepfather, and younger sister, Joeli. His stepfather works in construction occasionally, and his mother stays home taking care of his younger sister. Marcelo loves his mom so much and wishes he had a job that would help his family. Marcelo walks 15 minutes to get to school where he enjoys math. His favorite color is blue, and his favorite food is beans and rice. Marcelo enjoys playing soccer in his free time and hopes to become a doctor someday.
