Luz lives in the Dominican Republic in the village of Batey Lecheria with her parents and her four older brothers. Her father works in construction collecting stone and sand, and her mother works in the home. Luz walks 15 minutes to school every day, where her favorite subject is math. She enjoys playing volleyball, playing with friends, and learning about God. Luz’s favorite food is potatoes and eggs, but her biggest wish is that she had more food to eat. She hopes to become a doctor in the future.
