Luis lives with his parents and little sister in the village of Batey Lecheria in the Dominican Republic. His dad works in security but is unable to provide for his family’s basic needs. His mother works in the home and is struggling to find work. Luis loves to play basketball with his friends, and his favorite color is blue. He is in the fourth grade and loves to do math. Luis hopes to become a police officer someday.
