Lamin was born in 2007. His aunt does not know the exact date of his birth so we celebrate his birthday on January 1st. Lamin lives with his aunt who sells rice and soup from her home. His parents separated years ago and abandoned him. His aunt decided to help him even though her ability to support him is very limited. Realizing his constraints for food, Lamin found work organizing fish to be dried in a fish shack called Banda. Children working in a Banda are constantly exposed to the heavy smoke and the stench that gathers in the shack. Lamin would like to be an attorney in the future.
