Sarah was born in Haiti but now lives in the Dominican Republic in the village of Batey Lecheria with her mom. Sarah’s father became ill and died in Haiti, and her biggest wish is that he was still here with her. Her mom works as a housekeeper, trying to provide for Sarah’s basic needs. Sarah walks 20 minutes to attend school, where she loves to read and draw. Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite food is rice and beans. In her free time, she likes to run and play with dolls. Sarah hopes to become a teacher someday.
