Indiphile means “the Lord has given a blessing,” and Indiphile is truly a blessing to us.  Indiphile lists math and the color blue among his favorites.  He prefers to eat pork over other foods, and Indiphile’s favorite sport is rugby.  Indiphile dreams of becoming a veterinarian.  Every weekend Indiphile goes home to Noxolo, his home village, where he lives with his mother and stepfather.  During the school week, Indiphile lives at Intlantsi Christian School in Fort White. Fort White has the most modern amenities available in the area.  However, the surrounding villages are quite different.  In most villages, people collect water from a communal tap and use outhouses.  Though they have access to electricity, most villagers cannot afford to pay for an electric meter. Most of our children have grown up attending no-fee schools in their village, where they are provided what may be their only meal of the day.
