Ibrahim lives with his father, stepmother, and 3 stepbrothers. Ibrahim's mother passed away when he was 10 years old. His father remarried one year later. Ibrahim's father and stepmother both have small businesses to provide for their family, but the income is not enough. Ibrahim is able to attend school but is asked out when tuition is due. Ibrahim's father will work to find enough money for Ibrahim to resume, but his learning is often disrupted. When Ibrahim is out of school each day, he and his stepmother sell peanuts around the market. Once they have sold all that day, he goes home to start homework. Ibrahim just completed JSS1. His favorite subject is mathematics. Ibrahim would like to be a soldier when he is older.
