Ibrahim's mother passed away when he was a child. Immediately after, his father abandoned him and got married to another woman. Now, Ibrahim lives with his grandmother, a woodcutter in the Tombo community. His grandmother cannot adequately provide food and other basic needs for him, leaving Ibrahim to help her and other woodcutters sell their wood in and out of the Tombo community. Additionally, he sells masks for a tailor at the Tombo junction in exchange for food or money at the end of the day. Ibrahim has never attended school due to a lack of funds to pay for tuition, uniforms, school supplies, and other school fees. He wishes to attend school if given the support and would love to be a teacher in the future. Ibrahim really enjoys football.
