Haja lives with her grandmother who is a woodcutter. Haja's father abandoned her and her mother when she was nine months old. Her mother was not able to adequately provide for her, so she was left with her grandmother who makes a better income. Still, the income is not enough to provide both basic needs and schooling for Haja and her cousins. Haja hopes to one day attend school without being asked out because of school fees. She is in Class 1 and hopes to be a nurse in the future. Hajas favorite subject is English. Thanks to her sponsorship, she has been able to continue her education.
