Fatmata lives with her mother who sells fish at the market for a living. Her father died in March, 2022. They had three children together, and her mother is now the sole provider. She earns little cash from her fish business, so she cannot adequately provide food and other basic needs for Fatmata. Fatmata has never been to school due to lack of funds. She wants to go to school if given the opportunity. She wants to be a lawyer, and her favorite game is dodgeball.
