Fatmata lives with her grandfather who is not able to work. Her father died when she was a child. Her mother is an alchoholic and lives several hours away. Fatmata’s grandfather cannot adequately provide food and other basic needs for her. She has to help neighbors with work around their homes in exchange for meals or a little money. Fatmata has never been to school due to lack of funds. She wants to go to school if given the opportunity. Her favorite game is dodgeball, and she wants to be a nurse in the future.
