Fatmata lives with her mother. Her father passed away when she was only 1 month old, leaving behind Fatmata and her 5 siblings. Fatmata's mother spends most of her day caring for her children, so she has little time to earn money to provide for them. Fatmata's uncle helps the family as he is able. He was able to pay some money towards her schooling, but she is asked out each time the balance is due. This causes lapses in her learning as she has to wait at home until her family can find the money to continue. Fatmata is currently in Class 1. Her favorite subject is English and she wants to be a lawyer in the future.
