Life for Haitians in the Dominican is difficult. Dood lives with her mother and grandmother. She is the youngest of three siblings. Her father passed away when she was five. Her mother works on a cherry plantation for a living but is having a difficult time providing for her family. Dood attends the public school, and her favorite subject is language arts. Her favorite color is yellow, and she hopes to become a teacher in the future.
