Daniela lives with her grandmother in Villa Laura, a village on the outskirts of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Daniela's dad abandoned her when she was born, and her grandmother tries her best to provide for the family. Her mom lives in the same village but in a different house with her new spouse and their two children. Daniela speaks Spanish, and attends the public school that is two miles from her village. Her favorite subject is history, and her favorite color is pink. Daniela wants to become a nurse in the future.
