Daniel lives in Batey Lecheria, a village on the outskirts of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Batey is the Haitian word for village. The older generations in Batey Lecheria are Haitian. Life for Haitians in the Dominican is difficult. Daniel lives with both parents and his three siblings, Alaina, Estefani, and Eduardo. His sister Alaina is also in our sponsorship ministry. Daniel's parents are struggling to find work and provide for their family. Daniel attends public school, and his favorite subject is math. In his free time, Daniel likes to play soccer with his friends. His favorite color is blue, and he would like to become a firefighter one day.
