Dahian lives in Batey Lecheria in the Dominican Republic. Batey is the Haitian word for village. The older generations in Batey Lecheria are Haitian. Life for Haitians in the Dominican is difficult. Dahian lives with his parents and two siblings, Grisel and Elias. Dahian was born with major structural intestinal issues but is doing well now. Dahian's dad works as an upholsterer, and his mother works in a cafeteria. However, their combined income is not enough to sustain the family, especially due to Dahian's specialized medical treatment.  The family lives in a very humble home made of wood. Dahian attends public school, and his favorite subject is reading. His favorite color is green, and he loves to play baseball. Dahian hopes to become a professional baseball player in the future.
