Crisleydy lives in Batey Lecheria in the Dominican Republic. Batey is the Haitian word for village. The older generations in Batey Lecheria are Haitian. Life for Haitians in the Dominican is difficult. Crisleydy lives with her parents and two siblings. She is the oldest among her siblings. Her father works in construction when work is available and also drives a motorbike, which is used for local transport in the Dominican. Her mother stays home to care for her siblings, Naika  and Crislidia. Currently, Crisleydy attends the public school, and her favorite subject is math. Crisleydy speaks Spanish, and her favorite color is pink. In her free time, she enjoys writing and singing and would like to become a teacher in the future.
