Arialis lives in Batey Lecheria, a village on the outskirts of Santo Domingo located in the area of Los Alcarrizos. Villages are generally divided into Dominican villages or Haitian villages. Lecheria is a predominantly Haitian village. Like many villages in the Dominican Republic, people often settle and build makeshift homes on land they do not own. Arialis lives with both parents and her younger brother, Andy. Her dad lost his job after the pandemic, and her mom cannot find work. Arialis attends public school, and languages is her favorite subject. Her favorite color is purple, and she loves to play soccer. Arialis wants to become an architect in the future.
