Aminata lives with her grandmother who is unable to work. Her father is mentally ill, and her mother decided to abandon them shortly after Aminata’s father became mentally ill. Her grandmother was left with no choice but to step in and care for Aminata since her son is the father. Aminata has never been to school due to lack of funds. She wants to go to school if given the opportunity. She likes to play “Monday-Tuesday,” a jump rope game and wants to be a lawyer.
