Amadus's father is deaf and mute and his mother is physically disabled. His parents can't provide for even Amadu's basic needs so he had no option but to go out on the streets to fend for himself. Fortunately, Amadu was able to move in with his grandfather who has the means to partially provide for food alone. Amadu stopped his schooling in Junior Senior Secondary III. He was not able to take the Basic Education Certification Exams (BECE) because his parents could not pay for the required exam fees. But once Amadu was sponsored, he was able to continue his education. He likes studying science and wants to be a doctor one day.
