Alusine lives with both parents. His father grinds fish and pepper in the market and his mother sells plastic bags. However, they are not able to sufficiently provide for their family with the meager wages they make. Alusine has a twin brother and one older sister. It is challenging for his parents to provide enough food for their family each day. The cost of sending their children to school is more than they can manage. Alusine reached Class IV, but he has not been able to attend school for the past 3 years. But thanks to his sponsorship, he's been able to continue his education. He likes to play soccer and wants to be a soldier one day.
