Alimamy was born in 2005. Alimamy lives in the very poor fishing village of Tombo. Tombo is located on the western coastline and is a major hub for fish trade and transport. The town is known for its deeply religious Islamic faith. Because of the poor conditions and the bodies of water that surround Tombo, diseases such as Malaria, Typhoid and Cholera run rampant. Alimamy lives with his mother, who is a fish trader. His father is currently unemployed and hardly spends any time with Alimamy. Realizing that his family cannot adequately provide for him, Alimamy went in search of work. Alimamy now works packing fish in fish baskets. He is paid for his work with small amounts of food or he is given some needed basic items. Alimamy had to stop school in Class V due to lack of funds to pay for school tuition, uniform, school supplies and other school fees. His great desire is to return to school if given the opportunity.  He likes to play soccer and wants to be a president one day.
