Jensi lives in Batey Lecheria in the Dominican Republic. Batey is the Haitian word for village. The older generations in Batey Lecheria are Haitian. Life for Haitians in the Dominican is difficult. Jensi lives with his stepfather, mother and two siblings, Maiyu and Islanda. His father works construction to try to provide for the basic needs of his family, however, the wages for working in construction are very little. Jensi attends public school, and his favorite subject is math. Jensi's favorite color is red, and he loves to play football. He would like to become a doctor in the future.
