Harshita was born and brought up in a Hindu family. Her father abandoned her family due to frequent disputes between him and his wife. Harshita's father stopped all support to the family and left Harshita's mother alone to raise her and her brother. Her mother was forced to move into her parent's home for their survival. Harshita lived with her mother and grandparents but later went to live with her maternal uncle. Harshita joined Mercy Homes in 2010 and was admitted into class 3. When she came to Mercy Homes, Harishita first heard about Jesus Christ and the word of God that now constantly strengthens her heart and mind. Harshita is studying in college and wants to become a doctor. Harshita currently lives in the 25 Project Mercy Homes.
